Neetu Chandra the hot chick of the industry is now even hotter! But the director of Vishal starrer ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ (TVP) made her realize that a little thing is hotter than her.

Why not people? Our beauty was made to lie inside a bath tub for a steamy scene. And wait, the tub was full of red chillies… (Oh so hot!)

When we asked about her experience, Neetu said, “We were filming the intro song of Vishal in a studio in Mumbai. The song, “Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai Thol Sera” composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, was to be picturised on Vishal, Tanushree, Sarah and me. I had to get soaked in a bathtub that would be filled with dummy red chillies. But when the bathtub was set, we realised that the fake chillies weren’t enough to fill the tub. So, the director told me that he would mix real chillies. I was taken aback and wasn’t sure how to react to it.” (Ada Paavamey!)

Now we can imagine what would have happened to Neetu. Yes, the real chillies started to give her itches, leaving her body red with rashes. And the girl had to get soaked inside a tub of water for hours together.  It took one whole day for her to get rid of the rashes she had developed. (Ena Koduma Sir Idhu?)

Imagine Neetu suffering with irritation and throwing romantic look to seduce Vishal…! What to say? Neetu is a true professional.

We hear that this sizzling number would be the highlight of the movie and it will be used in the promos.

Megastar Mammootty who is rightly enjoying the mammoth success of his magnum opus historical ‘Pazhassi Raja’ is rumoured to have signed a movie in Kannada. To be directed by Abhaya Simha of ‘Gubbachigalu’ fame,To be produced by well known filmmaker K Manju.The confirmation about this project has not yet arrived from the megastar who is currently busy shooting for Shafi’s ‘Chattambinaadu’ at Pollachy.The movie will be the first Kannada film from the super star. The makers are planning to produce it as a bilingual, as the lead character earmarked for Mammootty will be a Malayalee who is settled at Karnataka.The superstar will finalise the days for the shoot of movie in a few days.

“Pazhassi Raja”, Mammotty in and as new movie got good response at the box office when released on Friday. Megastar Mammotty fans association received the film as very well.The film has been made at a budget of over Rs.25 crore (Rs.250million) and has been dubbed in English,Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.Mammootty said it was worth waiting for the movie.“I am of course happy and what made me happier is the fact that people said they felt a sense of patriotism after seeing the film. That is why I feel that this is the cinema of the century,” added the superstar who has had an excellent 2009 year with all his films becoming box office hits.

“Pazhassi Raja”writer M.T. Vasudevan Nair and director Hariharan came together after two decades. Other high points of the film are Illayaraja’s music and the sound effects by Oscar winner Resul Pookutty.

The film is set in the 18th century and is about Kerala Varma Pazhassi Raja of the Kottayam royal family. Irked by the revenue policy of East India Company in Malabar, Pazhassi Raja’s was one of the first voices to be raised against British rule in India, though not many people are aware of him outside Kerala.The film’s climax has been changed.“They have changed a bit because originally Pazhassi Raja commits suicide and in the film he is seen falling to the bullet of the British.

Bollywood super star Aamir khan and great South Director Priyadarshan working together for a movie.The director revealed that Aamir has said yes to the film which deals with the disease and the social stigma attached to it.

Priyan said to media ”My next film is a meaningful and realistic take on AIDS. I have narrated the story to Aamir and he really liked it, though I have not presented him a bound script yet,” Priyadarshan told us at the sidelines of Delhi International Art Festival.This will be the first time that the filmmaker will be working with Aamir.Priyadarshan currently shooting for a yet-untitled film starring Ajay Devgan and Akshay Khanna in Tamil Nadu.While Aamir Khan is working on his film ‘Three Idiots’ where he stars alongside Kareena Kapoor and R Madhavan

When asked about the one actor he wishes to work with, Priyadarshan did not wait before replying, thats “Big B”.“I have worked with Mr Bachan on advertisements but I want to shoot a feature film with him. It would be a great experience,” said the filmmaker.

AIDS is still a taboo topic in Bollywood though South Indian filmmaker Revathy and Onir had explored the subject in their films ‘Phir Milenge’ and ‘My Brother Nikhil’.

While ‘Phir Milenge’ had a star studded cast including Salman Khan, Shilpa Shetty and Abhishek Bachchan, ‘My Brother Nikhil’ starred Sanjay Suri, Juhi Chawla and Purab Kohli.

Priyadarshan who has directed superhit comedies like ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Malamaal Weekly’ said that the National Award, his first ever, has inspired him to take risks with off-beat cinema.

“I finally got an award after 25 years in the industry and it is a great recognition. All those who thought that I could do nothing more than comedies and remakes have been proved wrong and you will see many more realistic films from my side,” said Priyadarshan.
